The Centre College Athletics Department and Head Coach Currie Martin have announced the addition of Brad Bolton as assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis programs.

"I'm very excited to have Brad join our staff," said Martin. "He has been very successful at the club level working with elite juniors. Brad's natural ability to connect with players on a personal level will have an immediate impact on our recruiting.

Combined with his keen insight in determining what it will take to raise a player to the next level, I am confident Brad brings exactly what we need to move our team forward."

Bolton joins the Colonels for his first year as an assistant coach after spending the past several years working at various tennis clubs in Chattanooga, Atlanta and Destin, Fl. Most recently, he served as a teaching pro at Manker Patten Tennis Club in Chattanooga. While there, he conducted private lessons and group clinics with adults and juniors of all skill levels, leaving a legacy of new and exciting training opportunities for members of all ages.

The Chattanooga native was ranked in the top 20 in the Tennessee Junior rankings before playing for NAIA top ranked Tennessee Wesleyan. In addition to his work in Chattanooga, he spent several years at Bluewater Bay in Destin, Fl., where he worked with various pros playing the ITF Futures circuit as well as collegiate players.

"I would like to thank Centre's Athletic Director, Brad Fields, and Coach Martin for giving me this opportunity," said Bolton. "I am looking forward to helping the student-athletes reach their full potential, both on and off the court."
