2018-19 SSAC Men's Golf Coaches' Preseason Poll

1. Dalton State – 81 (9)
2. William Carey – 62
3. Martin Methodist – 60
4. Blue Mountain – 51
5. Mobile – 45
6. Faulkner – 38
6. Loyola – 38
8. Bethel – 19
9. Brewton-Parker - 11

Dalton State Coach Ben Rickett said, "This is something that you learn not to take for granted.

It is always nice being voted preseason number one in the conference, but I am also aware that there are a lot of changes to most of the teams this year including us. Lots of new faces on these teams means there are a lot of unknowns which is the beautiful thing about this sport. You have to give a lot of respect to these teams and make sure you are prepared when playing with them as I feel like this conference is going to have a lot of strong teams this year."

The Roadrunners won last year's SSAC Championship by 35 strokes over Martin Methodist, with Blue Mountain, William Carey and Faulkner rounding out the top five.

Dalton State finished second at the 2018 NAIA National Championship, with S.M. Lee winning the individual title.

Six Roadrunners earned All-Conference honors in 2017-18.
