Jorge Ruiz has been arrested for aggravated child abuse after the alleged victim made a statement.

Ruiz, of 3603 Montevista Dr., is also charged with aggravated assault.

The child was interviewed after the ex-wife of Ruiz said he recently told her about alleged incidents from 2007-2010.

The child described an extensive pattern of abuse, including forcible rape, being locked in a closet for several hours at a time on several occasions, and being forced to drink urine.

The child said on one occasion that Ruiz stabbed him in the stomach with a knife in order to terrorize him. He said if he ever told on him he would kill him.

The ex-wife said in 2008 she had come home from work early and found her son crying in the bedroom. She said he had a bleeding cut on his belly. She said Ruiz, who was cleaning blood off a knife, said the child had cut himself.
