A trailer in Ooltewah was damaged by fire early Friday morning.
At 2:38 a.m., a motorist called 911 reporting a fire at 4530 Green Shanty Road. A deputy from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was the first on the scene and reported a fully-involved trailer fire.
The Tri-Communuty Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire. Since the trailer was consumed with fire, firefighters conducted a “defensive attack” to contain the fire. Fire officials reported a challenge for fire trucks to get to the fire due to poor driveway conditions.
No one was living in the trailer and no injuries were reported. HCEMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to firefighters. Damages are reported to be $65,000.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Tri-Community VFD Fire Marshall’s Office.
