Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on I-59 in Dade County on Monday morning.
The wreck caused a complete shutdown of I-59 northbound near mile marker 4 for about an hour.
At approximately 11:30 a.m., Dade County units were dispatched to the freeway for a single-vehicle accident with injuries.
Dade County patrol officers found a motorcycle off the roadway at the edge of the woods.
Deputies found a man and woman, and both had very serious injuries.
The man was flown by air ambulance to the hospital, and the female was taken by ground.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
