The Ark Pet Spa And Hotel Is Now Franchising

Thursday, September 6, 2018

After 12 years of serving Chattanooga and Atlanta pet owners, The Ark’s franchise crew will now be attracting and training pet loving, business minded individuals who would like to open up their own pet hotel.

Based in Chattanooga, The Ark Pet Spa and Hotel has provided a "fun, safe, and loving environment" for thousands of dogs, cats, and other pets while their parents were away since their opening in 2006. The Ark offers pet boarding, doggy daycare, pet grooming, dog training, and a pet bakery and market called Slobberbones.

The Ark has accumulated several awards over the years including Best of Kudzu Atlanta for “Pet Boarding and Daycare”, and The Ark is currently rated A+ by the BBB.

The Ark has expanded over the last 12 years and now includes three Chattanooga locations, and one in Doraville, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta, bringing the total number of locations to four. The Ark took the steps to develop a competitive franchise package and will now be offering it to anyone interested in the Southeast United States. The Ark’s franchise crew worked with National Franchise Associates out of the Atlanta area to create their franchise documents and manuals.

The Ark developed a franchise crew to help support all of the existing corporate owned franchise units and any future franchise locations. The Ark’s franchise crew includes Jay Floyd, founder and CEO, Adam Harbin, vice president of Development, Sarah Speer, director of Operations, Kate Wells, marketing manager, and Brittany Carden, franchise operations trainer.

The Ark will be attractive to business minded, pet lovers that want to capitalize on the growth of the $70 billion pet care industry. According to the American Pet Products Association, the industry has seen an average annual growth of 7 percent. This can be attributed to the fact that nearly 68 percent of American households now own a pet. The APPA estimates there to be over 60 million household that own a dog and 47 million households that own a cat in the US. Not to mention, most pet owners consider their pet to be part of the family and are willing to spend more than ever to keep them happy and healthy.

The Ark’s franchising crew will guide future, pet loving, franchise owners every step of the way. The Ark’s crew will provide assistance with things like site selection, facility design, construction, crew and owner training, management, accounting, and marketing. Once the franchise owner is up and running The Ark crew will provide ongoing assistance and system wide support. Many franchisors like to say franchise owners will, “be in business for yourself, but not by yourself”.

For information on The Ark Pet Spa and Hotel’s franchise opportunity visit www.thearkfranchise.com and fill out the “Join The Crew” form on the home page and an Ark representative will begin the conversation.
