2 Fires Near One Another At Ridgedale Believed To Be Related

  • Sunday, October 20, 2019
Two fires at separate locations in the same Ridgedale neighborhood are under investigation Sunday morning and fire officials believe they could be connected.

First, the Chattanooga Fire Department was called to a shed fire in the 4000 block of 12th Avenue around 4:20 a.m.

They found the burning shed and, as they started working to extinguish the blaze, Chattanooga Police officers alerted the crews that there was also a house fire nearby in the 4200 block of Dodds Avenue, only a few hundred feet away.

Additional units were called in and firefighters found flames coming out of the entire back of the vacant house on Dodds.
Fire units worked to get everything out at both locations.

Investigators were on the scene looking into the cause of the fires and early indications are that the cases might be related.

No injuries were reported.
