Water Service In Lookout Valley Impacted By 2 Tennessee American Water Main Breaks

  • Thursday, August 22, 2019

Tennessee American Water has had two main breaks in the Lookout Valley area since Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning, which impacted customers in the area who may experience low to no water pressure.

The 6” main break on Ochs Highway was repaired Thursday morning and water is being restored.

The repair of a larger 12” pipe at 3300 Cummings Road near Wahautchie Pike will continue throughout the day through early evening to complete, due to the challenging location.

Officials are working to minimize the impact to affected areas and restore their water service.

If customers experience air or discolored water after their water is restored, they should run their cold tap until it runs clear.

Officials said, "We apologize for the inconvenience but we are working safely and as quickly as possible to complete the repairs."
