Stephen Dewayne McClure, age 51, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, November 24, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

Dewayne was born Sept. 30, 1969 in Ringgold, Ga. Dewayne was a 1987 graduate of Northwest High School and was an electrician by trade and worked at J & S Electric in Ringgold.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward McClure, on Dec. 26, 2005.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Nikki Raymond of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Jordan and Haylee McClure of Chatsworth, GA, and Tyson and Jessica McClure of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; grandchildren, Hayden McClure and Peyton McClure; mother and her husband, Carolyn and Wayne Templeton of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA;  brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward and Natalie McClure of Tunnel Hill, GA, Nathan and Brandy McClure of Cohutta, GA; nieces and nephews, Brady McClure, Samantha McClure, Hope Davis, Faith Davis, Alex Davis and A. J. Davis; his companion’s children, Collin Raymond and Garren Mauldin; and several aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Stephen Dewayne McClure will be held Saturday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Larry Hollifield, Reverend Clyde Painter and Reverend Scott Hobbs officiating. He will be laid to rest with his father at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with the Freedom Riders honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel  after 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Peeples Cancer Institute c/o Whitfield Healthcare Foundation, P.O. Box 1168, Dalton, GA, 30722-1168

Due to the national health crisis and the COVID-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
