Dallas James Beck, Sr.
Rev. Dallas James Beck, Sr., 86, of Chattanooga, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 12, 2022, after a long illness.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1935, in New Castle, Pa., to Homer Oliver Beck and Mary Elvira Davis.
During his lifetime, he cared for people as pastor from Jamestown, NY through Chattanooga.
He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church as pastor of visitation as well as a leader in Bible studies. He was active in the choir and handbells and was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class.
Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, wife Margaret I. (Peggy) Bees Beck and son, Ronald E. Beck.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen A. Beck, Dallas J. (Beverly) Beck, Jr. and Thomas R. (Deborah) Beck, 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at St. John United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 18, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Carl Blackburn officiating and Mr. Rick Williams assisting. Interment will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Wednesday, May 18, at St. John United Methodist Church.
