CWO5, Peter Eric “Wheeler” O’Hare, flew into heaven on June 13, 2023, from the Fred Still Burn ICU in Augusta, Georgia after the final battle of his life. The love and care he received there could only be described as exceptional.

Anyone who knew Peter O’Hare loved him, was inspired by him, and saw him as a superhero. Isaiah 6:8 exemplifies how he led his life, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said I, Here am I: send me.” He loved God, country, and family with a passion he demonstrated every single day with his energy and enthusiasm for life.

He is survived by his wife, Susan O’Hare, daughters, Savannah Mello (Sean Mello), Hanna Thompson (Nick Thompson) and grandson, Mark Thompson.

His love of aviation led him to found The Museum of Flight, Hixson, now co-located in Rome and Dallas, Ga. Donations in his memory should be made to https://hixsonflightmuseum-922263.square.site.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
