The Spring Into 2024 Art Exhibit features local artists who participate in various art programs offered by the North River Civic Center, Department Of Community Development. There will be a grand opening reception for the exhibit on Sunday from 1-3 p.m.
The show dates are April 21 through July 8, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday 12-4 p.m.
The art was created by the following participating groups:
The About Face Portrait Drawing Artist Group: Jeanne Abbott, Mary Ahern, David Barber, JoAnn Bracey, Barbara Bye, Joanne Cooper, George Dawnay, Rosemary Dupras, Barbara Gill, Lynn Harmon, Peter Heitt, Kay Hagadorm, Britta Kindervater, Mary Logsdon, Kay Marr, Susan Poss, Tom Reddy, Richard Rice, Carol Ruocco and Linda Rugina.
The North River Watercolor Artists Guild presents a mural titled, “Spring” featuring lattice works, bugs, butterflies and other small critters.
The mural was created by Bill Webb, Kay Marr, Charlotte Freeman, Stephanie Cook, Deidre Diener, Jan Buck, Jean Jones and Gerri Williams.
The Chattanooga Porcelain Artist Guild display offers plates, ornaments, jewelry vases and more. Artists are as follows: Joan Cochrun, Carolyn Schaerer, Linda Patrick, Francis Rogers, Judy Scharsschmidt, Virginia Skipper and Verleen Star.
