Joseph Clyde White, Jr.
Joseph Clyde White, Jr. took his eternal rest on Monday, May 6, 2024 at a local health care facility.
Joe was born on June 9, 1939, and was a 1957 graduate of Howard High School.
Joe was a day one driver and supervisor for United Parcel Service and retired after 30 years and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. White Sr.; mother, Georgia Moore; grandmother, Julia Moore.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Margaret D. White; daughter, Kimberly White Johnson; son, Joseph C., White III; all of Chattanooga; grandsons, James L. Jackson and Justin L. Jackson, both of Atlanta; sisters-in-law, Virginia Wiserer and Jacquelyn (Le Farron) Bonner, of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; loving godchildren, Clarence Myree, Marthel and William Young.
Devoted caregivers were Renita Billingsley and Faith Morgan. Special thanks to Hearth Hospice, Rusty Pritchard, Olivia King, and Rebecca Tinker. Those team of people were amazing.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May10, at 1 p.m. at Forest Hills Cemetery with Pastor Nathan Malone officiating. Pallbearers will be James Jackson, Justin Jackson, Joe Gregory, William Young, Clarence Myree, and Oscar Parks.
