Marian Lewis Hollingsworth Adams died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at a local hospital.
She was born Dec. 27, 1947, the second child of Ernest W. Lewis and Lois M. Lewis in Chattanooga. She was educated at Howard High School and Tennessee State University.
She spent most of her working life in the service to others at Erlanger hospital in a variety of capacities.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her sister, Hazel Lewis-Dixon.
She is survived by her only child, Adolphus Lebron Hollingsworth Jr.; her grandchildren, Adolphus Lebron Hollingsworth III and Imani Hollingsworth; two sisters, Ernestine and Margie Lewis; her two nieces, Tinika L. Newby and Tiffany D. Lewis; her nephew, Deron McGee; her grandnieces, Kyaira, Tameya and Daijah; her grandnephew, Mandel; her devoted cousin, Barbara Williams; and her dearest family member, Erma J. Reeves.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Avondale Chapel with Rev. Wilbert McClure officiating.
