Michael Patrick "Mike" Benning, 28, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Michael was a member of Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1994.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rufus Benning; great-grandmothers, Mary Woodard and Sallie Wilder, and cousins, Randall "Yogi" Hamler and Terrance Patton.
He is survived by his daughters, Mariah and Carmen Benning; son, Michael M. Benning; devoted mother, Phyllis Benning; father, Larry Benning, all of Chattanooga; devoted brother, Sgt. 1 st Class David (Tia) Benning, Clarksville, TN; devoted grandparents, Mary Benning, Felix and Doris Lovelace; devoted godmother, Marilyn Benning; great-aunts, Dorothy Smith and Alice Woodard, all of Chattanooga; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins, and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be at noon Saturday, at the McCallie Avenue Chapel with the Rev. Fred Harris Jr. officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
