Charter Member Of Helping Hands And 1st Lady Of Alhambra Shrine

Evelyn Sneed Williams, 91, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.

She was married to Ralph Oliver Williams for 37 years. Evelyn graduated from Red Bank High School in 1951. She was First Lady of Alhambra Shrine, charter member of Helping Hands and member of the Betsy Ross Eastern Star.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, William Kelsie and Mary Cleo Sneed.

Survivors include her brother, Bill Sneed (JoAnn); nieces and nephews: Michael Sneed (Jackie), Rick Sneed (Carol) and Penney Hill (Jackson); and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Special thanks to special friends and caregivers, James and Ramona Tyler, Caring Senior Care and Adoration Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Evelyn’s memory.

Visitation is from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Monday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Hoyt Samples officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
