Mildred Nelson Carson died on Sunday, July 26, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Harlie W. Carson; one son, Wilbert Lee Carson; and her mother and father, Marshall Nelson Sr. and Sarah Dawson Nelson.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Eddie (Linda) Carson, of Jasper, Linda (Bobby) Gudger, of Kimball, Tn., Beverly (Mike) Bradford, of Stevenson, Al., Jack (Cheryl) Carson, of Jasper, and Brian Carson, of Stevenson; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She also left behind five sisters and three brothers, John Nelson, Charles Nelson, Mary Cartwright, Lillie Mae Coffelt, Martha Miller, Emma McDonald, Susie Roberts and Marshall “Bugsy” Nelson Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CDT on Thursday, July 30, with the Rev. Roger Webb officiating.
Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. CDT.
