James D. “Shorty” Keltch, 82, of Soddy Daisy, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at a local health care facility. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Ford Keltch, son, Ray Keltch, parents, David Keltch and Virginia Mayes, brothers, David, Jimmy, and Noah Keltch.

He is survived by his daughters, Jeannette Worley, Evelyn Moore (Leonard Grant), brothers, John Hancock, Paul, Charles, Joe, Johnny, Mark, and Tim Keltch, sisters, Rosie Neal, Mary Runyun, special friend, Helen Caraway, grandchildren, Micheal Worley, Melissa Morgan, Chiquita Green, Brian Francis, four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Calvin Nunley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

His family will receive friends after 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
