Betty Lee Satterwhite, 79, died on December 20, 2012 at a local hospital.
She was a member of Thankful Baptist Church until her failing health prevented her from attending.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Satterwhite; mother, Rosie Nell Moon; father, Ralph Terrell, Sr.; daughter, Carlotta Jan Rodgers; two brothers, Ralph Terrell, Jr. and James Edward Dean.
She is survived by her daughter, Althea Elaine (Melvin) Davis; sons, Christopher Dewayne Rodgers, Alex Lebron Rodgers and Karlon Anthony Terrell; sister, Jocelyn Avila Moon; brother, Claude Harold Moon; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Homegoing services will be held at noon at Thankful Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 30, with Reverend Oscar Lockhart officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood East.
The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
