7th Annual Black Heritage Concert Is Feb. 25

Minister Marcellus Barnes and Sounds of Unity present the seventh annual Black Heritage Concert on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. The concert will be held at Highland Park Baptist Church at 1907 Bailey Ave. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is free.

Organizers said, "Join us for an evening of worship and praise as we celebrate our heritage with song, dance and dramatic presentations. We will honor Chattanooga’s own Harold K Lester of Orchard Knob Baptist church with the Trailblazer Award."  

Special guest for the evening will be Grammy and Stellar Award nominee, James Bignon.

Arson Suspected At Fire That Destroys Long-Vacant Ooltewah House

Arson is suspected in a fire that destroyed a long-vacant house at Ooltewah on Monday night. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fire at 4617 Woodland Dr. At  10:45 p.m. , a neighbor called 911 reporting a house fire.
