Walking Horse Soring Is An Act Of Cruelty Beyond The Pale

  • Friday, March 2, 2012

Thank you to local the federal judge and the horse veterinarian for enforcing the maximum sentences, although compared to the bolting (horse crucifixion) and soring (rubbing caustic agents in the wounds), the consequences are not nearly enough.

At least it is a start. I just cannot fathom how people can inflict such torture on these magnificent horses.  But then again, I cannot imagine how people abuse their children either (see the Granny Garrett story where she ran her granddaughter to death for eating chocolate).

The laws for child and animal abuse are no where NEAR harsh enough. But for these stories y, thanks  to our officials for fighting the good fight. Hey perhaps we should drive bolts in their hands and feet. Oh wait,  that is how mankind murdered Jesus Christ; guess an eye for and eye won't work here.

Thank you, Judge Mattice and Doctor Mullins. You are my heroes.

Respectfully,
Catherine B. Martinez
