Shirley Elliott
Shirley Joe Elliott, 87, of East Ridge, died on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Elliott was born in Wartrace, Tn., to the late Shirley and Fannie Elliott. He was a member of East Ridge Church of Christ, retired from Singer-Cobble Carpet Machines as a machinist and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran.
Surviving are his son, Joe (Mariana) Elliott of Gettysburg, Pa.; daughters, Becky Holmes of East Ridge and Marchell (Mike) Holder of Stamping Ground, Ky.; grandchildren, Victor Haley, Kisha Payne, Mireille Elliott, Marilyn Holder and Madison Holder; great-grandson and Papaw’s best friend, Gage Haley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Elliott.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, at the funeral home with Minister Steve Plemmons officiating and visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
