Mildred Jackson
Mildred Stinson Jackson, 88, of Red Bank, passed away July 17, 2012.
Mildred was born in Cookeville, TN, and had lived all of her adult life in the Chattanooga area and was employed with the Hamilton County Board of Education as a teacher at Red Bank Elementary School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, C. Willard Stinson, parents, E.N. and Mattie Foutch Wilhite, daughter Deborah Stinson McKinnon, sister, Gaye Tabor, and a brother, Tom Wilhite.
Mildred is survived by her husband, Ben Jackson, son, Steve (Karen) Stinson, daughters, Jeannie (Kerry) Heller, Kate (Doug) Dyer, grandchildren, Alexander (Amanda) Stinson, Meredith Stinson, Will Henry, Rachel Dyer, Ellie Dyer, brother, Robert Foutch (Mitzi) Wilhite, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 21, from 2-3 p.m. at the North Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Ben Haden officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents at the Terrace at Mountain Creek for their love and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Changed Lives or First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga.
