Former East Ridge Basketball Star Jurick Facing Drug Charges In Oklahoma

Former East Ridge High School basketball star Philip Jurick has been arrested on drug charges in Oklahoma, where he is living while playing for Oklahoma State.

He was arrested Saturday night on charges of drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the Oklahoman.

The 6'11" Jurick was taken into custody by campus police shortly after taking part in a scrimmage.

He played part of last season with the Cowboys, then suffered an Achilles’ tendon tear.

In June, he was charged with driving on a suspended license.

Jurick initially was on the University of Tennessee squad, then he was at Chattanooga State.
