Scenic Paint Out Has Call For Artists

Shuptrine's Gold Leaf Designs is hosting Chattanooga's inaugural Scenic City Paint Out, an opportunity for artists of all skill levels and mediums to capture the natural beauty of the area and to attend various workshops during the week of April 12-18 - which is part of a city-wide 424 event.  

For each painting entered, prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, 2nd and 3rd place by a panel of jurors. Includes a week long admission into the Reflection Riding Nature Center, and a special day at The Hunter Museum of American Art. 

The cost to participate is $55 per person.

Multiple Callers Said Man Who Tried To Rape Woman At MLK Neighborhood Was "Tom"

After police on Wednesday released clear photos of a man who tried to tried to rape a woman in the MLK Neighborhood, multiple callers said it was "Tom" who works at Amazon. The victim then picked Thomas Lee Carr out of a photo lineup as her assailant. He is charged with attempted rape. Arson Suspected In Morning House Fire

Chattanooga firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire around  5:40 a.m.  on Thursday at 2707 N.
