Harold Eugene Swinford, 65, of Chatsworth, Georgia, died on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Floyd Medical Center.
Mr. Swinford was born March 1, 1947, in Rome, Ga.,, the son of the late Herbert and Frances Pittard Swinford. He was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Waters Swinford, children, Gary Swinford, Wayne Martin, Joy Martin, all of Chatsworth, GA, step-daughters, Betty Cunningham, Amanda Dean, Alicia Martin of Alabama, sister, Theresa Murray, Rome, GA, brothers, Maxwell Swinford, and Greg Swinford, both of Summerville, GA, three grandchildren, Alision Rogers, Dale Swinford, Mark Martin, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday Jan. 18, at the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Brother Ricky Studdard officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers, Marion Swinford, Joshua Swinford, Jonathan Swinford, Brent Murray, Drew Murray, Mather Swinford, and honorary pallbearer will be Alan Rogers.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
