Robert Kenneth Vincent, 83, of Soddy Daisy, died on Saturday, January 26, 2013. 

He was born on Aug. 22, 1929, the son of James Thomas and Elizabeth Vincent. He retired after many years as a long distance truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Vincent; son, Ronnie Vincent; sisters, Arminda Conley and Glada Sedman; brothers, Benton, Clarence, Clifford and Lewis Vincent.

Survivors include his sons, Robert (Janice) Vincent and Andy (Vicki) Vincent; grandkids, Jonathan Vincent, Alison Anderson, Nicole Chapman and Nathan Vincent; great grandkids, Kayla and Tommy Anderson and Mason and Logan Chapman; sisters, Pauline Sims and Edna Cuff and several nieces and nephews.


Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend James Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. 

Family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 27, from 2-4 p.m., and Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talladega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302 Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge.
