John Shulman QB Club Speaker

 UTC men's basketball coach John Shulman is the scheduled speaker for today's Chattanooga Quarterback Club luncheon at Finley Stadium at noon.

The price of lunch is $10 and the public is invited.

Shulman will talk about the Mocs 74-70 Southern Conference win at Samford Saturday - first SoCon road win in two seasons - and give a preview of this weekend's games at The Citadel (Thursday) and College of Charleston (Saturday).

The Mocs (6-9) have won four of the last five games and are 1-1 I the SoCon.

Coach Shulman (138-136) needs two wins to become the second winningest coach in UTC men's basketball history ahead of Ron Shumate (139-61) and behind Mack McCarthy (243-122).

The final figure for the new Ganns/Falling Water School is way over budget, county officials said Wednesday. However, the County Commission voted to proceed on the $29,414,000 project. Hutcherson Says Erlanger Board To Be More Transparent; Dinner Meetings To Be Open

Erlanger Board Finance Chairman Donnie Hutcherson said the board plans to be more transparent. He said Erlanger's legal staff will review topics that might be covered in a closed meeting.
