Harvest Hoedown Is Saturday At Life Care Center of Hixson

Life Care Center of Hixson invites the community to its third annual Harvest Hoedown this Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Mountain Cove Bluegrass Band, The Hatfields and Elvis tribute artist Gene Hodge will all perform at the event, held on the facility’s lawn. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

There will be a cake walk, and various vendors will be set up, with food and other items available for purchase.

Man Arrested For Confronting Southside Grocery Employee With Gun

Brandon Jamal Appleberry, 27, was arrested on Monday after an altercation with an employee at Southside Grocery on West 38 th Street, officers said. Marty Witt, 44, told police that the suspect confronted him with a gun in his hand.
