Marcus Sutton Waives Extradition In Walker County Murder

Marcus Sutton, who has been charged in a murder in Walker County, Ga., waived extradition from Hamilton County to Walker County on Wednesday morning.

Walker County deputies transported Sutton to the Walker County Jail around 11 a.m. 

Sutton will appear in Magistrate Court on Thursday at 3 p.m. for a first appearance hearing. 

He was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 3100 block of 5th Avenue in Chattanooga.

Sutton was sought for the murder of Andy Watts Wednesday night at an apartment on Fisher Road in Rossville.

He is also charged in a separate shooting incident.

Charges against Sutton include murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reckless conduct and probation violation.

Sutton was released from the state penitentiary on Aug. 14, after serving one year on a 20-year sentence for aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and carrying a weapon on school property.
