Covenant College Hosts Faculty Recital Feb. 21

A faculty recital featuring visiting music professors Dr. Rosella Ewing and David Tahere will be held at Covenant College on Thursday, Feb. 21. Originally planned for January, this recital was rescheduled due to inclement weather.

The evening will feature the music of Bach, Poulenc, Thomson, Finzi, Carpenter, Barber, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and music professor Dr. Brandon Kreuze.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel. Admission is free and open to the public.

CSA Songwriters Night Set For March 8

Butch Ross, Spencer Smith, Tim Carpenter, and Ben Strawn (host) will be at the CSA SongWriters Night at Heritage House in East Brainerd on March 8.  The Songwriter's Night is held on the second Thursday of every month from 7-9 p.m.  Each month four or more singer-songwriters from the Chattanooga community put on a free, intimate house concert. Daisy Elementary Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Daisy Elementary School was evacuated on Friday, after a threatening message about a bomb was found on a wall. Initiative Launches In Support Of Signal Mountain’s Water System; Tennessee-American Says It Has Long Provided Clean Water To Signal

A citizen committee is urging Signal Mountain "to be vocal and choose local" in the imminent water department sale. The local group formed “Be Vocal.
