Bishop Young Is Guest At Episcopal Church Of The Good Shepherd

Bishop George Young will be the guest on Sunday, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain. He will the guest at the 9:15 a.m. Christian Formation Hour in the library and will speak and confirm adults at the 10:30 a.m. service. There will be a reception in Talbird Hall immediately following the 10:30 a.m. service to honor Bishop Young and the new confirmands.

At 4 p.m. Keth Reas will direct the Chorale Arts spring concert of Brahms "Requiem." The singers share this Requiem with a sense of true poignancy in remembrance of baritone Carl Hansen, who was rehearsing to perform this work with the group until his unexpected death.

Soloists will be Lucia Elena Sanchez, soprano, and Ted Long, baritone. Accompanists are David Friberg and Penny Tullock. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for students.
