Trenton Man Dies In Wreck That Shuts Down I-24 Eastbound Lanes At Rossville Boulevard

One person was killed in a wreck that snarled traffic on I-24 eastbound near the Rossville Boulevard exit on Wednesday afternoon.

He was identified as Roger Eugene Sutton, 50, of Trenton, Ga.

Chattanooga Police responded to the crash at approximately 2:47 p.m.

It was reported that a Toyota rear-ended a tractor-trailer that was eastbound on the interstate. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. However, the driver of the Toyota was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Traffic was blocked for several hours.
