Patsy C. “Pat” Hodgin, 78, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at the family residence.
Mrs. Hodgin was the daughter of the late Willirene Clark Hodgin and Gordon Merele Hodgin; and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Dee Ann Samples; her sister, Peggy Kennedy; and her brothers, Hubert, Carl and Scott Hodgin.
Mrs. Hodgin was retired from Olin Chemical Corp, working in Credit Union and she served as secretary for other Departments. She enjoyed reading and sewing and she was a great cook, known for her award winning apple pies! She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hodgin was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church where she worked in the office and she loved her Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughters, Detra Green and her husband Mike of Cleveland, Leslie Ward Britton and her husband Mark of Greenville, TN and Robin Ward Stepp and her husband Greg of Cleveland; her son, Sean Ward also of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Zachary and Zane Britton and Luke Stepp; and her little dog “Cricket” whom she loved dearly and had been her companion for many years.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted Thursday, May 23 at 2 p.m. from the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Reverend Jim Caywood officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A Dove release will conclude the services.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 22 at the North Ocoee Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes who has charge of the arrangements.
