Charlie Lane
Charlie Everett “Charlie” Lane, 64, of Ringgold, died on June 1, 2013 at a local hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area and was a veteran of the United States Army. Charlie loved God and enjoyed visiting many different churches in the area. He was an avid pool player, was a member of several local leagues, and was the owner and operator of Professional Pool Table Services. His passions in life were family, gardening, working in the yard, helping others, and enjoying his cats. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pearl Lane.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Brenda Lane; stepson, Billy Shell of Marion County; stepdaughter, Beverly (Scott) Hunt of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, Rainey Shell of Ringgold, Dustin and Brandon Hunt of Soddy Daisy, and Megan Givens of Knoxville; brother, James Lane of East Ridge; sisters, Rosalie Wortman of Happy Valley, Bobbie Jean Britton of Rossville, and Charlotte (Jack) Williams of East Ridge; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, at 7 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
