East Ridge Observes Holiday Schedule For Independence Day

Monday, July 1, 2013

East Ridge offices and City Services will be closed in observance of Independence Day on Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5.  Sanitation will be operating on a holiday schedule. For residents that have Thursday trash service, your schedule will be the following:

 

North Side (Ringgold Road North to Chattanooga Line) – Wednesday, July 3;

South Side (Ringgold Road South to Georgia State Line) – Friday, July 5.

 

Recycling will also be picked up as scheduled for the North Side and Ringgold Road businesses. Brush and bulk items will not be picked up this week for the North Side. The North Side schedule will pick back up the week of July 15.

2 Shot Tuesday Afternoon On Windsor Street

Chattanooga Police responded on Tuesday to the 2100 block of Windsor Street, on a report that two people had been shot.   Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Erlanger Reports Dramatic Increase In Flu-Like Illnesses

The number of influenza-like illnesses treated at Erlanger Health System shows a dramatic increase compared to this time last year.  Erlanger reported treating 156 patients with flu like illnesses between Feb. 12 and 18 of this year.
