Frances Jewell Whaley Collins, 91, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Tuesday, August, 13, 2013 at her residence.
She was the oldest living member of New Prospect Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was the daughter of the late Leander Whaley and Mary Rosetta King Whaley; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Collins, owner of Collins Manufacturing Co.; sisters, Martha Whaley, Blanche McConnell, Lena Gladson and Mable Watson; and brothers, Otha Whaley, Claude Whaley and Andy Whaley.
She is survived by two children, Billy Forester Collins and wife Pat and Kay Holden and husband Johnny, all of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, Jon Collins and wife Karen, Kristi Collins-Smith and husband Scott, Kelli Bergin and husband Kevin, Kevin Collins and wife Debbie, Billy West and wife Kelley, Kenny West and wife Jessica and Christy Holden-Petty, all of Cleveland; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Barbara Thomas.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, August 15,in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Sears and Reverend Sam Melton officiating.
Interment will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 16, at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Kenny West, Billy West, Kevin Collins, Rob Gary, Mac Massengil, and Billy Massengil serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m., prior to the service at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
