Tonya Frizzell Identified As Person Killed In Highway 27 Accident On Tuesday

Tonya Frizzell, 42, of Soddy Daisy has been identified as the person killed in an accident on Highway 27 on Tuesday. The single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in the 1160 block of Highway 27 involved a 2010 Nissan Cube.  

Ms. Frizzell was traveling north bound on Highway 27, when for unknown reasons her vehicle left the roadway and traveled in the median before hitting an embankment between the overpass for Levi Road.  The vehicle went airborne and landed on its top on the shoulder of Levi Road, then rolled over, crossing Levi Road before coming to rest on the opposite shoulder.

Ms. Frizzell was transported to an area hospital where she died from the injuries she sustained in the crash.

The traffic investigation is ongoing and is being handled by Traffic Investigator Robert Stockburger.
