Soddy-Daisy volleyball and tennis standout Chloe Mitchell has signed a scholarship to extend her athletic career in both sports at Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tenn.
“I fell in love with Wesleyan the minute I stepped on campus,” Mitchell said. I am looking forward to what my future holds over these next four years.”
In her volleyball career as a three-year starter, Mitchell set the school career record for assists with 3,073.
That total ranks fifth on the TSSAA’s all-time list.
Mitchell also had 435 sets, 461 kills, 1,361 digs, 168 aces and 96 blocks for the Lady Trojans and earned All-District 5-AAA honors during her junior and senior seasons. She made the all-tournament team in 2013.
As a three-year tennis player, Mitchell heads into her senior season with a 43-7 singles record and 44-10 in doubles. She was nominated for Best of Preps honors as a junior.
