Startup Week Chattanooga runs Monday through Saturday, featuring more than 50 events focused on entrepreneurship and guest talks from several national figures in innovation, entrepreneurship and community building. Most activities are free and open to the public.
Startup Week Chattanooga is a production of dozens of local organizations focused on entrepreneurial growth and community development. Several local companies and nonprofits are hosting Startup Week events. Key organizers include The Company Lab (CO.LAB) and Lamp Post Group, as well as Chattanooga Public Library, River City Company, Society of Work and Causeway.
Guest speakers at Startup Week will include:
David Weinberger, author of Too Big to Know and senior researcher at Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society;
Brad Feld (via live videoconference), co-founder of Techstars and author of Startup Communities: Building an Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Your City;
Chris Guillebeau, author of New York Times best-seller The $100 Startup, as well as The Art of Non-Conformity and The Happiness of Pursuit;
Victor Saad, founder of Experience Institute;
Aaron Irizarry, product designer at Nasdaq and expert in UX (user experience) and IA (information architecture); and
Nicole Gravagna, co-author of Venture Capital for Dummies.
