Joshua Ferriera
District Attorney Neal Pinkston said he is asking the TBI to look into the handling of a man during an arrest.
He said, "After reviewing video evidence and having a discussion with Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Hammond, I have requested the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation investigate the Aug. 9, 2014 arrest of Joshua Ferriera and his subsequent processing at the Hamilton County Jail."
Ferriera, 22, was charged with six counts of aggravated assault after deputies said he fought with them while they tried to take him into custody on Aug. 9 on Dent Road.
He was also charged with assault on his girlfriend.
His charges were bound to the Grand Jury by Judge Clarence Shattuck.
