Gordon Hicks
Gordon Hicks, 87, of Hixson, died on Sunday, November 23, 2014.
He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was married to Letha Elder Hicks for 65 years.
Gordon served in the Army during World War II for three years, worked at 3M for 30 years and was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zenia and Ernest Hicks and by his youngest son, Ronald Hicks.
He is survived by wife, Letha Elder Hicks; son, Larry D. (Shari Cordell) Hicks; grandchildren: Chris (Angie) Hicks, Lucas and Brody Hicks, Brandi (Anson) Watkins, Kohli (Chuck) Adams, Garrett (Julie) Hawks; sister-in-law, Gail Rose; great-grandchildren, Logan and Laine Hicks, Camden Adams, Erin and Savannah Hawks; great-great-grandchild, Rylin Watkins.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Lane Funeral Home, followed by funeral services at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the chapel. Burial will be private in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
