Lary Gravitt
Larry A. Gravitt, 66, of Chattanooga, died on November 4, 2014 in a local hospital surrounded by his family.
His automotive career started out as manager of Midas Muffler on Broad Street. He was a partner in Furst Foreign Car Parts on Market Street for six years before moving into sales at Burcham Motors on Rossville Boulevard. He served on the sales force at Economy Honda for 14 years and for one year at Pye Acura. For the past 13 years he worked for Capital Toyota where he was one of the top salesmen. His love and concern for his many hundreds of customers cannot be measured. He was a man of integrity, always going the extra mile to make certain that everything was done properly and in order. Larry’s final request was that his customers be taken care of in a manner that they have been accustomed to by him.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Lee Garrett.
Survivors include his sister, Brenda (Kenneth) Livingston of Chattanooga; daughters, Tonya Holloway Pontotoc, Ms., of and Kimberly (Craig) Lovingood, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Matthew Tucker Holloway, Macy Holloway and Avery Grace Lovingood; niece, Ashleigh (Casey) Cothron; nephew, Tyler (Alex) Livingston; and two great-nieces, Caimen and Madden Jane Cothron.
The family will gather with friends on Sunday, Nov. 9, beginning at noon, with a memorial service to follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
