The Absolute Auction held by Terry Posey for the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday raised approximately $75,000.  The auction included vehicles, furniture and other items that had accumulated at the BCSO garage over the past few years.

This was the first auction of outdated and seized vehicles, furniture and more in many years, according to Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson.

“Your Bradley County Sheriff’s Office can now replace 27 ballistic vests to protect our officers as well as equip some 30 patrol units with cameras needed to record traffic stops, arrests and other activities,” said Sheriff Watson.  "It will still take time to update many necessary items that had been overlooked in recent years, but the wonderful turnout and the monies cleared through the event, moves your Bradley County Sheriff’s Office in the right direction for further safety for our officers and citizens.”
