Agan, Athel Mae (Summerville)

Athel Mae Agan, 74, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Friday, December 19, 2014, in Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Agan was born May 2, 1940, in Trion, Ga., the daughter of the late William and Eva Mae Teems Walker.  She was co-owner and operator of the Agan Printing Company,  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Erin Prince.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin Agan, son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Kelly Agan, daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Chuck Sizemore, April Reed, Connie and Bryan Hawkins, sister, Glenda Turner, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, at the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steven Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Hayden Sizemore, Chad Hawkins, Bryan Hawkins, Billy Agan, Gene Agan, Larry Blackwell, Chuck Sizemore, Donnie Agan, David Agan.

Mrs. Agan will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22.
