2 Seriously Injured In I-24 Accident On Wednesday

Chattanooga Police were dispatched on Wednesday at approximately 10:52 a.m. to a traffic crash at 17680 Interstate 24, near Moccasin Bend. 

Traffic investigators discovered that a Jeep Liberty was traveling westbound when the driver, Dekotah Moreno, 22, lost control and went across the median. The Jeep Liberty struck a Honda CRV, which was traveling eastbound, and then rolled, causing the driver to be ejected.  

The driver of the Honda CRV, Lynda Suggs, 68, had to be extricated by the fire department and EMS. She was rushed into surgery at a local hospital where her condition was listed as critical. The other driver was also transported to a local hospital and was in serious condition.
