Larry Donail Silmon
Larry Donail Silmon, 30, was arrested in Cleveland after barricading himself late Thursday night with a 12-year-old.
Officers from the Cleveland Police Department followed up on an investigation of an armed subject who had evaded police and was wanted on several felony arrest warrants out of Georgia.
After a tip was given, police arrived at a location on Adkisson Drive at around 11:30 p.m., where the man had barricaded himself inside the apartment with the youngster.
The SWAT Team and negotiators arrived and began negotiations with the individual. The 12-year-old came out of the apartment safely and the SWAT Team entered, finding Silmon hiding in the attic.
Silmon was then placed in custody. Two loaded handguns were recovered from the scene.
More charges are pending.
Police said Silmon had an armed robbery conviction in Georgia and had violated his probation.
