BB&T Bank In Cleveland Robbed; Suspect Arrested

A bank in Cleveland was robbed Monday afternoon, and the suspect was arrested shortly thereafter.

A white male entered the BB&T Branch Bank at 2375 McGrady Drive SE at 4:36 p.m. on Monday, and demanded money. The tellers spoke to the suspect for approximately two minutes. He then left the bank.

Due to the quick response of the Bradley County Sheriff's Office and Cleveland Police Department, the suspect was located within 300 yards of the bank and taken into custody.

The suspect was identified as Jeremy Stevenson, of Cleveland, 27. Cleveland Police Department Detective Steve Ross has charged the suspect with attempted aggravated robbery.
