Dalton Police Seek Information On BB Gun Vandalism

  • Monday, March 31, 2014

The Dalton Police Department is asking for information from the public regarding a string of vandalism incidents in the area of Underwood Street that left cars with dents or broken windows.

More than 15 cases have been reported since March 8, with approximately half of the incidents occurring that weekend and the others taking place over the weekend of March 29.  It appears that a BB gun or pellet gun was used to shoot cars parked along the street in neighborhoods off of Underwood Street.  The damage reported was to car windows and in some cases dented metal.

Investigators do not believe that these incidents are connected to the series of BB gun shootings last summer that left dozens of businesses with shattered windows.

Anyone with information on these cases is asked to contact Detective Jason Bishop at 706.278-9085, extension 214.
