Thursday, July 10, 2014

Mixed Up Cup will celebrate its Grand Opening Ceremony on Saturday, from 4-10 p.m. and Sunday, from 1-10 p.m. The business is at 9447 Bradmore Lane, Suite 109, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363. The celebration will feature several activities and promotions throughout the weekend, including entertainment on the Square, inclusive of all age groups.

Mixed Up Cup is Cambridge Square’s newest addition, and Ooltewah’s first and only Frozen Yogurt Lounge & Juice Bar.

Cambridge Square is a mixed-use community being developed by Barrier Properties. It is at the corner of Ooltewah-Georgetown Road and Lee Highway. Mixed Up Cup will occupy approximately 1,500 square feet on the public square.

“We expect a full-blown invasion of kids and families once Mixed Up Cup opens for business,” said Jim Cheney, marketing director for Barrier Properties. “From day one, the demand for yogurt has been consistent and eagerly anticipated. We are very happy to make this announcement and are confident that the community will be excited about this new option at Cambridge Square.”

Mixed Up Cup will offer a wide-array of choices appealing to both frozen yogurt and health food patrons. Included in the menu will be 21 self-serve frozen yogurt flavors including organic and vegan/non-dairy options; a 50-plus item toppings bar; fresh juices and smoothies using organic and locally sourced ingredients; natural sodas and flavored iced teas.

“Fundamentally, we have a strong commitment to offering a menu that is based on fresh, clean, premium ingredients, and delivering an experience that is healthy, relaxed and most importantly, fun,” said Rachelle Pecovsky, the creator of the Mixed Up Cup concept. “Our goal is not only to provide exceptional service and products, but also to become an active member in the Ooltewah community and the greater Chattanooga area. We have built a menu that we feel caters to this market, and we will always be looking for new ways to increase our appeal to as many people as possible.”

Hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Saturday. Beginning July 21, Mixed Up Cup will also be open from 7-9 a.m., Monday-Friday, offering a juice and smoothie pre-order and walk-in service.

I sure wish there was some way that Hamilton Place and ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: ‘Scrooge’ Of The Year

As we move into the last weekend before Christmas, the “Scrooge of the Year” has just appeared in Aurora, Ill. Actually Connie Ley has just died.
